Winter Wood'n'Things

Wood is always a great favorite with those artists & craftspeople who use it in their work and with those who appreciate it for the unique attributes that it brings to an object – whether a functional or a decorative object.
The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the versatility of wood as a material, its inherent beauty, the diversity of its application and the innovation and quality of craftsmanship of those working in wood.
Artists & craftspeople are invited to participate in this exhibition that celebrates the diversity and versatility of wood.
Works may include furniture, musical instruments, functional or decorative objects or sculptures and other items that utilize wood as the feature material.
- Preference will be given to those works that demonstrate:
- the versatility of wood
- the inherent beauty of wood
- the diversity of its application
- quality of craftsmanship.
Exhibition details
- Wood must be the feature of the work
- Application to Exhibit form to be completed & received at the EGAG with an image (may be on disc 300dpi resolution) of the work/s proposed for exhibition by 1 June
- 50 word artist statement to be included with Application to Exhibit
- Non-refundable Participation fee of $35 (GST not applicable) payable at time of acceptance
- Commission of 15% applies to works sold
- Maximum of 2 items may be submitted but depending on available space only 1 may be displayed
- Works must be ready to display without specialized display fixtures or fittings
- Large works to be discussed with Gallery staff prior to exhibition
- Delivery & collection of work on time is at the Participant’s expense
- Works will be accepted & displayed at the discretion of EGAG & Management
- Selection Panel who reserve the right to refuse works at the time of hanging
- Participation gives permission for images of work to be used in EGAG promotional material.
