East Gippsland Art Gallery is pleased to offer an artist insight and painting demonstration with Cynthia Boyle, whose work is on display along with Catherine Cotter and Ngaere Donald in the current exhibition, Places.

Cynthia Boyle arrived in Marlo in 2006 and quickly found likeminded creatives when she joined the Wilderness Coast artist group. Cynthia is an artist who draws and paints all the time. She says that 'as you age you have a realisation that you need to focus, be persistent and consistent if you want to build a lifestyle'. This current body of work on display is inspired by the fleeting moments when a bird flies through trees or scuttles through a bush. Cynthia has created transparent hidden creatures within each landscape, and it is a joy to try and find them.
