Inspired by the works of the Gippsland Interclub Photography Exhibition this workshop will focus on taking beautiful found natural objects like leaves, sticks and flowers, and placing them in a considered design onto special cyanotype paper. Then with the use of the sun’s uv rays, the found objects will create beautiful silhouetted images onto paper. Participants will also experiment with collage and hand-drawn images to produce a unique cyanotype of their own creation.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that does not require a camera. This process was invented in 1842 by scientist and astronomer Sir John Hirschel, and produces a cyan-blue print when a chemistry-coated surface is exposed to sunlight.
