Frances Harrison, Kangaroo Tales

Inspired by East Gippsland Art Gallery’s two exhibitions Elements and Kangaroo Tales

East Gippsland Art Gallery Creative Kids program presents its sixth workshop for primary school aged children.  Alfie Hudson, a teacher at Federation Training, is highly regarded as a champion within the East Gippsland community. His people are Gunaikurnai and Monero from East Gippsland and New South Wales and his enthusiasm to share his cultural story is evident in all his works. Alfie frequently depicts traditional imagery and themes in a colourful, contemporary and distinctive style.

Children will learn how to paint Australian animals and their tracks on canvas using acrylic paint.

Art smocks are encouraged and budding artists should also bring a drink bottle. A fruit snack is provided.
