ARTISTS IN ISOLATION | 2020

Kate Shone

Swan Reach, East Gippsland, April

Living in troubled times, and the world appears to be going crazy.

Isolation seems the thing to do and being basically an introvert, this has been a time to get on with doing things. Funnily enough, when I am creating artwork, the rest of the world noise seems to disappear, so for me this is a very calming experience.

I have just finished some seahorses and am now experimenting with patinas and trying a few different combinations of compounds in order to get some new colour effects.

I am also working on another project but that’s for another day ...

I am just taking it all gently.
