EXHIBITIONS 2016
Lesley Prosser, Drawn in Space
04 November - 26 November 2016
Opening event 6pm Thursday 4 November.  All welcome + free entry

Metal sculptures inspired by the work of Catalan artist Julio González. A friend and teacher of Picasso, González was the first artist to seriously explore the idea of welded metal as a medium for abstract sculpture. He referred to this new process as ‘drawing in space’. These are Prosser’s first works in a series exploring the González influence, referencing his lightness and grace and investigating colour as an expressive dimension. The works are intended to be displayed in a domestic environment and have no more than a thirty-centimeter footprint.
