EXHIBITIONS 2016

Our Maritime Heritage

06 October - 29 October 2016

Opening event 6pm Friday 6 October.  All welcome + free entry

For thousands of years, the ocean, the lakes and navigable rivers of East Gippsland have sustained the population and provided vital transport links.

Through historical maps, photos and artefacts, this exhibition tells the story of how the waterways – and the men and women who worked on or near them – shaped patterns of settlement and activity and supported East Gippsland’s economy and quality of life. Presented by Heritage Network East Gippsland.
