Special opening event 5.30pm Friday 12 July | All welcome | Free

A shared love of landscape large and small, familiar and new, wet and dry, populated and wild unites these three East Gippsland artists. While explorations of the environments of East Gippsland from mountains to the sea are celebrated in numerous paintings, all three find inspiration in travelling and the thrill of discovering unfamiliar landforms, vegetation and colours.

Cynthia’s work examines a close up view of the landscape with glimpses of the birds and animals moving through layers.

Catherine’s landscapes are simplified into blocks of tonal colour.

Ngaere’s pallete knife oil paintings are full of texture and colour conjuring mood, movement and action from the paint.
