Presentation by Tony Smith OAM

Join Tony Smith OAM, for the Sea Shepherd Operation Reef Defence Presentation. Tony is a non-Executive Director of Sea Shepherd Australia who conceived Operation Reef Defense, Sea Shepherd Australia’s major contribution to the Stop Adani campaign, and led its membership of the Stop Adani Alliance. This operation saw the former global flagship, the M/Y Steve Irwin sail up the east coast of Australia, calling into locations along the way to stage events in support of the campaign, and culminated in the ship anchoring off Abbot Point – the site of Adani’s coal port.

Sea Shepherd is an international ocean conservation organisation whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

This talk runs in conjunction with our current exhibition CARE - Emergency Species Loss until 16 April 2021
