South East NOW 2022

01 July - 20 August 2022

All Welcome | FREE

The opening starts at 5pm Friday 01 July with a talk by exhibiting artist Alan Solomon at the site of his public art sculpture Borun and Tuk in the Bairnsdale Mall (next to the old Woolworths building). Alan will give an insight into the inspiration and creation of this sculpture.

At 5.30pm the doors open at the Gallery.

Now in its 7th year, Southeast NOW 2022 is a group show of Koorie artists with a connection to Gunnai Kurnai Country. The exhibition features work by Leann J. Edwards, Hollie Johnson, Chris Mongta, Alice Ann Pepper, Patricia Pittman and Alan Solomon.

Exhibiting artist Leann J. Edwards is facilitating art workshops (free booking essential) during the exhibitions (July and August), made possible with support from East Gippsland Shire Council. These workshops are for kids, youth, adults, schools, community groups, anyone and everyone! As part of the East Gippsland Winter Festival, exhibiting artist Patricia Pittman will be running a lantern making workshop for kids (adults can join in too) on 01 July.
