ARTISTS IN ISOLATION | 2020

Tracey Solomon

Bollard designs for Bairnsdale, May 2020

Isolation has brought people together in new ways and the arts community is no different. While we were unable to roam the street, I was privileged to be able coordinate a little treat for when we do. With support from the East Gippsland Shire the Bairnsdale CBD has now been brightened with the help of local artists. The grey bollards are now awash with colour, an enjoyable project to have completed when life may seem a little dull. As part of the project I experimented with different mediums in my own work, playing in art and problem solving is always part of the enticement to art.
